Venus Salon and Spa is one of the best beauty salons I've gone to. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to accommodate you. Regina does my hair and it always looks great when I leave. It's really nice to go to a salon with such a great enviroment and great people! I recommend it to all my friends and they always leave happy.
I went into Venus for a haircut. I came out with advice on how to treat my skin. While taking to Regina about my hair, I also mentioned my skin problems. She happily introduced me to Maryam, who even though she was on her way out stopped to chat about my options. I ended up buying the products she recommended and have never been happier about my complexion. Everyone at Venus Salon knows their stuff!
I made and appointment with the Olney location and they told me they would honor my gift cards from the previous owner of the store. I drove 45 minutes to get there and the manager then told me she could not honor my gift cards and that I'd need to go to another location. The secretary verified to her that she did make my appointment and she did tell me my cards would be honored. The manager told me that she would not honor them because she had already lost too much money. I told her that was very bad business practice and that she would be losing a lot more money. I would never reccommend this place to anyone.
Only place I have every been where I have not received a negative comment about my thick curly hair. Regina will blow dry, flat iron, and product until it is smooth. If you are a curlyhead, this is worth it!!!!
I started out having my hair colored, cut, and styled by Regina at Venus and now my children go to her for their hair cuts. We have thick curly hair and she has never made a negative comment about it because she loves to work with this type of hair. She is even patient enough to blow dry and flatiron it straight. You receive personal attention from the staff and are not left ignored and waiting long.
